I Chimaira sono una band metalcore/numetal proveniente da Cleveland. Nati a fine anni 90 dall'unione tra il chitarrista Jason Hager e il cantante Mark Hunter, pubblicano il primo vero album nel 2001. Il loro suono, potente ed esplosivo, sarà la caratteristica predominante del gruppo anche negli anni a seguire. Attualmente hanno 5 full lenght all'attivo, ma é recentemente stata annunciata l'uscita del nuovo album, "the age of hell", prevista per il 16 agosto 2011.
