Formatasi nel 2003 a El Paso, Texas, la band Zechs Marquise è composta dai fratelli Marfred e Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez, fratelli minori del piu' famoso Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, chitarrista e mente dei Mars Volta.
Dopo un EP live dal titolo "34.26" (che corrisponde alla durata dell'album) , la band di El Paso ha rilasciato il primo full lenght nel 2008.
Out Delicate Stranded Nightmare (questo il titolo del disco) nacque con l'idea di un secondo EP, ma la quantità di musica a disposizione della band, convinse il gruppo a rilasciare un vero e proprio album. L'uscita avvenne sotto l'etichetta del fratello Omar.
Sono evidenti le affinità con At The Drive-in e Mars Volta, anche se i suoni sono caratterizzati da una sperimentazione piu' accentuata, e spaziano tra un numero maggiore di generi musicali (compreso Jazz e funk).
E' prevista per il 27 settembre 2011 l'uscita del loro attesissimo "Getting Paid".
