I By Surprise sono una band indie-rock-punk poco conosciuta dal grande pubblico ma sicuramente interessante.
Attualmente distribuiti dall'etichetta "Topshelf Records" , il gruppo, originario del New Jersey e formatosi nel 2006, ha alle spalle qualche EP ed un solo full lenght, uscito nell'aprile 2011, intitolato "Mountain Smashers".
