La band, formatasi nel 1998, ha fino ad ora pubblicato 3 album, l'ultimo dei quali (Of the blue color of the sky) è datato 2010.
Gli Ok Go sono molto famosi per i video dei loro singoli, molto belli e indubbiamente originali, nonostante siano spesso low-cost.
Il video di "Here it goes again" ha vinto un grammy come "Best Short-Form Music Video" nel 2007.
