Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Group è il nome del principale side project del chitarrista dei Mars Volta Omar Rogriguez-Lopez.
Il progetto nasce principalmente come espressione live di tutta la produzione "extra Mars Volta" del creativo artista portoricano.
Nel corso degli anni si sono alternate (e continuano ad alternarsi) diverse formazioni, ognuna delle quali ha un proprio nome: El trio de Omar Rogriguez-Lopez, El Grupo nuevo de Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez quartet, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez quintet.
Il numero degli artisti che hanno collaborato ai vari progetti è notevole: tra di essi troviamo i "Mars Volta" Cedric Bixler e Juan Alderete, Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez (fratello minore di Omar), i batteristi Thomas Pridgen, Deantoni Parks e Zach Hill, il grande John Frusciante , le cantanti Ximena e Lisa Papineau e molti altri.
