I Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains sono un supergruppo nato quasi per caso nel 2002 al Bonnaroo Music and Art Festival.
La band è formata da Les Claypool dei Primus (Voce e basso), Buckethead (vero nome Brian Carrol, virtuosissimo chitarrista multigenere che prende il soprannome dal "secchiello" della nota catena di fast food americano KFC, che usa indossare come cappello durante i concerti) , dal tastierista Bernie Warrell (Praxis) e Brian "Brain" Mantia alla batteria.
I loro concerto sono delle vere e proprie improvvisazioni: autentiche jam sessions.
La band ha pubblicato un solo album nel 2004, dal titolo "The big eyeball in the sky", considerato da molti un album spettacolare.
