i "The sound of animal fighting" é un supergruppo experimental rock fondato dal cantante degli RX Bandits, Rich Balling.
La band ha pubblicato 3 album tra il 2004 e il 2008 e si é esibita dal vivo solo in 4 occasioni.
La band ha messo insieme ben 12 musicisti (componenti degli RX Bandits, dei Fich, degli Atreyu), che hanno collaborato alla creazione degli album "da remoto", incidendo la propria parte separatamente.
L'ultimo release é "The Ocean and the sun" del 2008.
