I "Theory of a dead man" sono una band alternative rock / post-grunge canadese.
Dopo un periodo di gavetta suonando nella zona di Vancouver, la band fece la svolta incontrando il leader dei Nickelback Chad Kroeger, che dopo aver ascoltato il loro demo, li recluto' nella propria etichetta discografica.
La band sta avendo un discreto successo. Un brano del recentissimo "The truth is... " (Head above water) é stato utilizzato nella colonna sonora di "Transformer: Dark of the moon".
