I P.O.D. , acronimo di Payable on Death sono una band nu-metal /Christian-metal americana formatasi nel 1992.
La loro musica é molto incentrata sul credo cristiano a dispetto di chi pensa che il metal sia "la musica del diavolo".
Il nu-metal suonato dai P.O.D. é un nu-metal molto ricco, con influenze reggae, rap. Il raggae e la musica latina ha preso maggiornemtne il sopravvento nei lavori piu' recenti.
Nel corso degli anni, la band ha rilasciato 7 album, vendendo oltre 10 milioni di copie e ricevendo svariati Grammy.
Il disco di maggior successo é stato indubbiamente Satellite, che ha lanciato i P.O.D. verso il grande pubblico.
Attualmente la band é in tour, ma nononstante i continui annunci di un'imminente uscita discografica, l'ultimo release rimane ancora "When angels and serpents dance" del 2008.
