Puscifer è il nome del "subconscio creativo" di Maynard James Keenan, leader di Tool e A Perfect Circle.
Maynard è l'unico componente fisso della band, che ha fino ad ora pubblicato un full lenght ("V" is for vagina), diversi album di remix in chiave industrial e dub, e una compilation per il docufilm dello stesso Maynard, "Blood into wine". Lo scopo è coinvolgere svariati personaggi talentuosi come "guest" nei vari album, specie in quelli di remix (non solo musicisti, visto che della schiera fa parte anche Milla Jovovic).
Il progetto Puscifer punta molto anche sul merchandising e sull'abbigliamento (il sito è quasi piu' un negozio online che il sito di un gruppo musicale).
L'uscita del secondo full-lenght è prevista per ottobre 2011.
