Gli Static-X sono una band industrial-metal / numetal californiana nata nel 1994.
Sotto l'ala della Warner Bros, la band ha pubblicato 6 album, l'ultimo dei quali risale al 2009 (Cult of static).
Tra i 6 release, il piu' significativo è senza dubbio l'album di esordio, "Wisconsin death trip", che è anche l'unico ad aver avuto un buon successo a livello vendite.
