I Fantomas sono un supergruppo avant-gard Metal californiano.
La band è formata da importanti membri di altri gruppi (da qui il termine supergruppo): Mike Patton (Faith no more, Mr Bungle, Peeping Tom) alla voce, Buzz Osborn (Melvins) alla chitarra, Trevor Dunn (Mr Bungle) al basso e Dave Lombardo (Slayer) alla batteria.
I loro dischi sono molto particolari, nati proprio con l'intenzione di stupire e sperimentare.
Nonostante annunci di una nuova release, non c'è ancora nulla di ufficiale a proposito del quinto disco dei Fantomas.
